Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the seeside.ai website at seeside.ai, the seeside.ai TikTok app, the seeside.ai social management dashboard at social.seeside.ai and all related seeside.ai services operated by Thomas Honold. The seeside.ai TikTok app uses the official TikTok Login Kit and TikTok Content Posting API to enable seeside.ai users to schedule and publish content to TikTok.

2. General Principles

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), and the Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG, effective 14 May 2024, replacing TTDSG).

Please note that data transmission over the internet (e.g. email communication) may have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

3. Hosting & Server Log Files

This website is hosted on a dedicated server operated by Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus (EU). A data processing agreement (DPA) according to Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded with Hostinger.

When you visit this website, the server automatically collects information (server log files) that your browser transmits to us. This includes:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address (anonymised after 7 days)

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the technically error-free presentation, security and optimisation of this website. Log files are deleted after 7 days, unless retention is required for security investigation of a specific incident.

4. Cookies, Local Storage & Consent

We use cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session storage) only where they are strictly necessary for the operation of this website or where you have given us your explicit consent. The legal basis is § 25 (1) TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR for consent-based storage, and § 25 (2) TDDDG for strictly necessary technologies.

Category 2 — Statistics (consent required)

  • Google Analytics 4 — see section 6 below. Only loaded after your consent.

  • Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) — see section 7. Only loaded after your consent.
  • YouTube video embeds (youtube-nocookie.com) — only loaded after your consent. Currently no embeds active on this site.

You can revoke your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Revocation does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent prior to revocation.

5. Contact Form & Email

For the contact form on this website we use the service “FormSubmit” operated by FormSubmit LLC, USA. When you submit the form, the data you enter (name, email address, message) is transmitted to FormSubmit and forwarded to us by email. FormSubmit does not store form data permanently after delivery.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry). Data transfer to the USA is a transfer to a third country within the meaning of Chapter V GDPR. The transfer takes place on the basis of Art. 49 (1) (b) GDPR (performance of a contract at your request) and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable. You can avoid this transfer by contacting us directly via email or phone instead of the contact form.

If you contact us by email, your details including the contact data you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry and for possible follow-up questions. We will not share this data without your consent. The data will be deleted once the purpose no longer applies, unless statutory retention obligations require longer storage.

6. Google Analytics 4 (consent-based)

This website may use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). GA4 uses cookies and similar technologies to analyse how visitors use the website. Information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the EU and stored there. IP addresses are shortened by Google within the EU / EEA before being stored.

In exceptional cases the full IP address may be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Data may be transferred to the USA on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of the European Commission of 10 July 2023) and additional standard contractual clauses.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG (consent). GA4 is implemented via Google Consent Mode v2. Scripts are only loaded after you have given your consent via our cookie banner. You can revoke your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

7. Meta Pixel (consent-based)

This website may use the Meta Pixel provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Meta”). The Meta Pixel allows Meta to determine visitors to our website as a target audience for the display of advertisements (Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads). Personal data may be transmitted to Meta servers in the USA.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG (consent). The Meta Pixel is only loaded after you have given your consent via our cookie banner. Data transfers to the USA take place on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses concluded with Meta. You can revoke your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

8. AI Models and Data Processing (for our services)

For our products and services, we use AI models that are operated exclusively on EU servers:

  • Mistral AI (Paris, France) — EU-hosted
  • Azure OpenAI Service (Frankfurt, Germany) — EU data centre

No transfer of personal data to third countries outside the EU/EEA takes place for these services. For customer projects we conclude data processing agreements according to Art. 28 GDPR.
